New Zealand, Summer Playground

by in Chrome Postcards, New Zealand, Tourism

Not to be confused with old Zeeland

New Zealand Stamps featuring Lake Coleridge“Much of New Zealand enjoys a temperate Mediterranean style climate, with the northern region tending toward semi-tropical. Vacationers flock to our beautiful beaches during the Summer months.”  Of course, Gloria points out to me that “Winter is on its way and it’s getting colder.  Fortunately,” she says, “we don’t get snow.”

Also of note is that this card arrived on Anzac Day, which honors members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli in Turkey during World War I.

  1. From Lydia:

Really nice. There is a Hopper-esque quality to this for me. The stamp also depicts a gorgeous landscape.
