This is a pristine linen card, circa 1945, postally unused. As with other cards in this series, I have no idea who the publisher might be.
This Continental-sized card was published in 1983 by Camden Graphics Ltd. of London. In it, we see the cover of the sheet music for “Take Me”, written in 1920, with words by Harry Edelheit, and music by Clarence Senna and Monte Carlo (which sounds like an obvious alias to me). You don’t think this card is some sort of metaphor, do you? This linen postcard is in immaculate condition. There is absolutely no indication of who the publisher might be; there’s nothing on the back except “Post Card”; “This Space for Writing Messages”; and “Place One Cent Stamp Here”.
This modern postcard is a reproduction of the movie poster for Slaves In Bondage (1937).
